I have a SAB and now have a physical address I can use on my GBP. But I have been only reading non-stop about GBP's getting suspended left and right just for changing address. Do you think its too dicey right now with Google? Just seems like an especially volatile time right now.

Thoughts?

When you update the address, Google is going to make you verify via video. From what I am hearing is within a few days of getting verified, the profile is getting suspended. Make sure your paperwork is updated with the new address, prior to making the switch.

You can have two GBPs. You can keep the SAB and create a new GBPs at the new address.

This is exactly what happened to me, but I did everything right: 1) video showing address, me walking into the building, a capture of the name plate outside my office, me unlocking the door, and a scan around the furnished office with my degrees on the wall. Sent copy of my lease, a screen capture from my profile on bar association shwoing new address. No explanation from Google as to why I was suspended. These people are awful.

Google is trying to combat spam. You passed the video verification process and now you need to complete the second step.

Right now I'd treat any address edit on an established SAB as high-risk. The reverification is the real problem, not the address itself. People are passing the video and still getting suspended a few days later after doing everything by the book, so don't assume clean paperwork protects you.

Before you touch it: get the new address consistent everywhere first - lease, utility bill, bank, licences, citations - and have real signage up. Then ask whether you actually need the address showing. If you're still service-area and just want the rankings, adding a visible address is one of the riskier edits you can make at the moment for not much upside.

If that profile is bringing in leads, I'd wait unless you can afford it being down for a few weeks.
