In the past I have renamed images using keyword phrases that included the name of the town. Example: electrician-Franksville. Now with Google's new dashboard it appears that we now can add as many images as we wish in the photo album. Is renaming an image with the keyword phrase plus town name still a useful practice for ranking?

Hi Ralph,

Is it still useful? sure. How useful is it? not really sure. But I think that's been the way all along.

Any extra signals of relevance you can send Google the better. I think effectively naming your photos is just one extra tool in the belt that may or may not turn the ranking dial, but is a good habit.
