Issue with parameters in Google My Business website address

I'm using Google Analytics parameters in a Google My Business local verified website URL. Clicking on the link works, but it's showing a redirect message to the user requiring them to click a link to go on.

My understanding was that parameters like these were acceptable. I know that others have had this issue.

Is there a workaround? Is this a known bug (known to us, known to Google)?

I know that others have brought this up, including in the Help Forum. Not sure if there's anything being done about it.

I'm trying the suggestion of changing ? to #.
