I recently helped a client with video verification, and the profile now shows as verified but with pending edits.
The edits include the address and categories. At first, I saw a message that the edits can take up to 3 business days, but now see the message "Your edit is taking longer to review. It may take up to 30 days to be published." for all of the pending edits.
A little background, this client opened their business during the pandemic and until now has operated virtually. They created the GBP as a SAB and since it was the wild west back then, they didn't run into any issues. Fast forward to 2023, they made an update to the profile and finally were flagged for verification. With no location, they haven't been able to verify it until now. They now operate in a physical location, and the video clearly shows this.
I'm wondering if this extended review period is common for others, and if it has anything to do with the history of this particular profile? I'm wondering if Google views it as risky since it was unverified for so long.
Are we basically at the mercy of Google at this point, or has anyone found any other ways to avoid the 30 day waiting game?
Thanks in advance!
