Moved a business to a new address, but no confirmation PIN?

Hi,

A client has changed their address, so I punched in the new address in GMB. The edit is live, uncontested. No postcard, no PIN, no nothing. How is that possible?

I do not trust this supposedly live edit. If this is the case, what is stopping me from setting up fake, sham businesses and putting them wherever I like?

None of this feels right and I suspect there will be some problem later on. Any ideas?

This happens when Google has a lot of trust in the business. Has the GMB been around for a long time?

I wouldn't worry about it. It's a good thing.
