Hi Guys

I have a client & they have a verified GBP. They are providing business insurance services & their physical address is available on the GBP. Now they have shut down their physcial business & their agents are in the area where they can serve customers. Now she asked me to add the service areas in the GBP, & remove the physical address.

I told her that this involves re verification of GBP which is a hectic process & if it is unsuccessful then there GBP can get suspended.

Let me know what do guys think about it!

Here is what you need to do and tell them.

They have two options.
1. Leave the address as is until they get suspended.
2. Get a new office, update the paperwork, get signage, and then update the GBP address.
If they get suspended, they will need to get an office. You can no longer update the address and hide it. Google only sees the original address, and you won't be able to get verified or get reinstated when you hide the address.
