Hi. I am having a problem with the reinstatement of a GBP for our client, a moving company with several locations.

They had left their original Tampa location - a different company had been supposed to move into their old place. In that context, their Tampa GBP had been suspended since the business did not exist anymore under that respective address. ("profile doesn’t follow the guidelines")

Eventually, the client found a new location in Tampa, changed the address officially (i.e., on their website, on Sunbiz.org, etc.) Once that was done, I updated their GBP as well, filed an appeal to have it reinstated und submitted a screenshot of their Sunbiz record. Yet, the appeal was denied.

I have no idea why. What can we do?

submitted a screenshot of their Sunbiz record.

They’ll need more substantial evidence, for example, utility bills would be helpful.
Also, it’s important to review the GBP guidelines to ensure they’re fully compliant with all the requirements

Hi @SusaW - If your appeal fails, you can try again using this form: Request additional review of a denied appeal

Before you do, double-check your documents.

Google tells us that they are looking for four different forms of evidence with a reinstatement submission:
  • Official business registration
  • A business license
  • Tax certificates
  • Utility bills for the business such as:
    • Electricity
    • Phone
    • Water
    • Internet

You don't have to provide all four but more is better!

I'd also recommend photos of your signage and/or a branded service vehicle.
