Ranking Destroyed After Merge

My construction company was ranked number 1 for almost all keywords in the map pack for 2 years.

We wrongfully got disabled and once we got the account reinstated, Google for some reason created a duplicate listing with all our info but no reviews.

Our main listing was ranked 1 and the duplicate was number 2. I didn’t pay it any mind because we were still ranked number 1.

A few weeks later Google merged the two and left us with no reviews and no rank.

I submitted a ticket and they put the reviews back, but now we rank like 20-30th..

Will our ranking ever bounce back?

Well, GBP age is very significant a ranking factor, as is review velocity (regular new reviews), and both of those would have been destroyed by this. And that's assuming there's not some funky bullshit related to the address going on too.

Google put all our reviews back, but I’m assuming they are not counting towards the new profile? I got 13 new ones in the last week from previous clients from emailing them.

When I use local falcon and run a scan it says we have 13 reviews so I’m assuming they integrated the reviews but they are not counting towards the actual total somehow. I’m assuming this is a big part of the problem. Crazy how they are the largest platform in the world but have such buggy algorithms
