Is there any way to remove/delete/bury the 'Reviews from the web' section, or the specific third-parties that feature?

Or, if the profile garners a sufficient amount of traction with Google reviews then it'd go away by itself?

There are several options that you can take. One: ask for reviews to be posted on Dealer Rating. You should check out GatherUp or Brightlocal as two options. There are lots of review solicitation platforms to choose from.
Two. Use schema to mark up various review platforms that you are listed on. Make sure that Dealer Rating is removed from your website until you fix the overall rating there.

Surely soliciting increased reviews on Google over Dealer Rater would be better in terms of local SEO?

The issue here is that these third-party sites appear without the business really giving their consent, then marketing that they're a review platform to the consumer, and subsequently trying to 'sell' their services back to the business as a "membership" so they can take more control over that presence they've generated.

It’s Google’s platform and product. We are all guests and subject their decisions. While they set the rules, we have ways to work with and around their system. My advice is still the same, either increase the rating for Dealer Rating’s platform or use schema to counter act Google auto selecting the review citation platforms that they display.
