I have a SAB client that moved from a Storefront to a home office. Upon updating the address, it triggers a re-verification with the only option being a video which includes signagen etc. How do I go about verifying this business that doesn't have signage etc.?

You need to hide the address and perform the video verification. Start at the street and walk into the home, show their setup, and one official document.

This is not true. It has to be permanent.

  • Businesses showing their address on Google should maintain permanent fixed signage of their business name at the address.
I had a sign on the Garage door. The door got repainted and the sign never got replaced. Google didn't seem to mind. I just have a small plaque next to the door with the company name. Can't even see this from the road.

Did you have to perform a video verification or apply for reinstatement? Google is becoming more stringent after spammers continue to break the rules.

No. But I have a very simple listing, I'm a limited company in the UK, not an SAB and it's me doing the listing not an agency.

But I agree about the spammers and even worse the local guides who continue to plague many of the listings. A recent one I can across was for a fish and chip shop when the local guide wrote about how pleasant the restaurant with seating and good service etc. It's a takeaway. There is no seating. You order your food and go home.
