Secondary Phone Number

Hi all

Our client is using tracking numbers for GBP---would it benefit them at all to put the real number as a secondary number? I really never knew what the purpose of a secondary number was since they dont appear anywhere.

It’s important to add the real number as the secondary number if that number is also listed on the website. The number on the Google Business Profile (GBP) should match a number on the website to prevent suspension issues.

Since the numbers in the additional numbers section never show in Maps or search, I use that section to add a number that matches the website, and it won't interfere with GBP call attribution. As far as I know, there’s no other use for the additional number section.
