Chat Feature Getting Rejected

Hello,

Has anyone received help when the phone number configured for SMS is rejected in the chat feature? I have contacted support, but they seem to be unaware of this feature.

The phone number is capable of receiving SMS, so it is unusual for it to be rejected.

Anyone else experienced this?

Support would be the only ones who can fix this - how many times have you contacted them and what do they say?

You can post on the GBP community forum to ask a PE to escalate the problem, if support truly cannot help. Just save your case IDs from when you contacted support.

Twice I contacted and both times Google support mentioned that the chat feature was deprecated lol. Yes, I'm going to open a thread in the forum I think.

Interesting! Mention that in the GBP forum thread and provide the Case IDs - I would think Google will want to dive into why support is saying that. The original chat feature from Google is depreciated, but this new WhatsApp and SMS chat number is brand new.

It's still showing as rejected. I haven't opened a thread on the GBP forum yet.

At first, they sent me the steps to add the number to the chat feature.

Then, after I sent them a screenshot of the rejected number, this was the response I got from support lol
