I'm making regular quality updates (twice a month) to a few pages to test a frequency theory. I submit my pages via the Google Search Console, but it over a week before it's indexed. How can I get an updated page indexed faster?
Hi @KevinJr I'd say one of the most effective ways is to make sure you have a good amount of internal links to the page you want indexed from other pages on the site. Especially from pages like the homepage and other frequently crawled pages.
Sharing the page on social media can help, but isn't always practical.
If you're doing a direct submit to Google Fetch it is indexed instantly I would imagine. But the index and cache are different. Because of the sheer load of data the cache contains, I imagine Google doesn't update it on minimal changes but once in awhile.
Can you give us some more insight into what exactly you're doing?
