Is it possible to add Alt text to image assets on Search ads?

We have a customer that wants to add alt text describing the photo that shows up next to his Search ads (example of Search add with image asset attached). There is no field within the image asset settings to do so.

Is there a way that I’m not seeing that alt text can be added to these images for Search ads? I don’t see anywhere online where Google’s ad images must be ADA compliant, but it seems odd there isn’t an option for this kind of functionality.

Any insights would be helpful.

There is no way to do this on the images for search ads and I doubt there will be an option to do this down the road as these images are just here to complement ads with a visual
