THis is just one example, it doesn't matter what business I do this for, the review. box will not popup and the Google knowledge panel wont even display.

It's working for me, I can tell that much. The one very specific corner case I know of is that review links always fail on Firefox mobile. Google will simply not serve them to that browser!

I'm curious what's the link in that AIO?? I haven't seen people report on this.

Can't say I read about anyone complaining about similar issues recently. I myself also haven't had any problems. If it makes a difference, I have it set up this way, I share Google review QR codes. Either way, I'm glad to hear they fixed the problem. (And it would be interesting to see the AIO source link, I agree)
