Maps shows Las Vegas Investments there too.

Use classic maps to see: http://goo.gl/maps/rncQq

I'm not sure how much the map marker and map issues are playing a part in the rankings, just an observation so mentioned.

I discussed the cat issue with Google. My Google contact did confirm no dual claimed listing on this one. But said there still are dual claimed listings like what I assumed this one was. But there will gradually be less and less of those problems due to listings being moved to the new dash.

Sorry that's about all the time I have for this one. Trying to help a bunch of folks different places and need to catch up on clients too.

Hi there bcbSEO,

It definitely looks to me like you still have a good bit of issues with NAP confusion and dupes around the web that coincide with what I've seen from over 6 months of checking listings filtered out using the Google Places 100 search.

Looks like there are 2 address, 2 business names and several different individual Veterinarians out there. Quite a bit of different data set combinations. Here are just a handful of listings to go off of:

I would definitely work on cleaning that stuff up as much as possible. That's not to say there isn't another issue with the categories/hidden dupe, but Linda or Google support would probably know as much as anyone on that.

Thank you all for your help so far!

It seems like we have had the perfect storm of problems with our Google listing.

Broland,
Thank you for pointing those out! Cleaning up our N.A.P. across the web has been a real pain. We had:
- Changed our business name from Fort Apache Animal Clinic to Pet Medical Center of Las Vegas a few years ago and the old ones were still active
- Had a call tracking service (from veterinarians.com) that changed our phone number on listings across the web, cancelled the service but the numbers remained the same
- 3 listings for veterinarians that no longer worked for us
- local aggregators were supplying directories with "Pet Medical Center" instead of "Pet Medical Center of Las Vegas"
...and so on.

Thanks for taking a look for me!

Brant

Joshua,

As of right now nothing has been resolved, our listing is still being locked out of the main page local results. In order to combat the loss in traffic we decided to go ahead with Google Adwords. The consultant at Google said that calling into support and having them make subtle changes to our listing can help with trust and ultimately rankings...so that was interesting.

I have spent a lot of time cleaning up our N.A.P. across the web. Other than that I am not sure what else I can do other than wait and keep working on citations, social media, and NAP.

Broland,

What are some good resources for checking a businesses N.A.P. across the web? I have used Yext, MozLocal, and while also searching individual directories. It is surprising how hidden some of these listings are - especially when there are multiple ones.

Thanks again for your help!

Have you thought about a consulting session with Imprezzio? They may be able to help you find the real issue. It would easily be worth the price.

I would just do a manual Google search or use paid Whitespark.

Whitespark just automates the task of having to manually type in things from Google and also categorizes the information quite nicely.

Have you Google'd your business name, address, and phone number with quotes? This would help you find your citations that might have the wrong information.

If you're having trouble with other companies previously being listed and confusing the issue, have you Google'd their business name and phone with quotes? This would help you find their citations and get them deleted or changed over to your business's NAP.
