Is it possible to rank either organically, maps or both for multiple locations with one website?

I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this, but wanted to throw it out there for the experts.

Also, is it worth creating separate location pages on that same website?

So for example, there could be a locations tab, then a pulldown for each location.

I don't think you want to dilute the homepage with all the locations do you?

Would love to see an example of this done correctly.

I have not done this myself. But I have observed a few websites that cater to multiple locations create separate pages for each of their locations and use these webpages for display on the local pack.

As for the homepage, you could display links to all the locations if there are only a handful. Otherwise, you could use the sitemap to tell Google about all your various locations and have a search form on the homepage to let the user search for a location.
