My Client's Professional Office Complex Leasing BMB Profile just got suspended, the public facing Business Name is actually different than the Corporate name so we got a DBA to be able to submit an electric bill, the Invoice and the Corporate records shows Suite #1100.

The actual office for the Professional Office Complex where the staff works to show the offices to clients is located in Suite in #600 (a shared office) and is on the opposite end of the building from Suite #1100. The GMB was created with the Suite #600 and I just discovered that the residential real Estate Office owned by the same Corporation sharing the office already has the GMB for #600. Both are completly separate entities, one Leasing Office Space in the Complex, the other selling residential homes in the area.

Management would prefer not to have the #1100 on the Maps, confusing potential leasors. But I advised changing it anyway to #1100 before submitting the appeal, Any thoughts? This appeal process seems to take so long we dont want to make a mistake upfront.

Sorry for the loong winded explanation!!

Hi @iwebresults - Empty rental units, whether offices, apartments, or vacation homes, aren't eligible for a Business Profile, but sales and leasing offices are. (See Business eligibility and ownership guidelines.) The address on a profile should represent where the business engages with customers face-to-face. So, in this case, the suite number on the profile should be #600.

Two businesses can share a location. They each need their own signage so be sure to include photos of each in your submission. And, ideally, an image that captures both signs in a single photo. IMO, you should make it clear to Google that there are two businesses sharing the space. (Google is OK with that. What they want to prevent is a single business creating two profiles to represent two different services that they offer.)

In fact, I recommend that you shoot a short video, post it to YouTube and share the URL in your submission to Google. If they have their own reception desks, show those too. Anything that helps prove that there are two independent businesses in one office.

Rumours that the two businesses need their own entrances are untrue. (Based on personal experience.)

It's OK if some of the corporate records show a different suite number. Just focus on proving that your working office is in suite #600. (Consider a multi-location business like Starbucks. The corporate records show the HQ address yet it's possible to get any retail location out of suspension by focusing on the location of that particular store.)

That said, you're probably still going to need some documents showing suite #600. A utility bill would do.
