Call Tracking as GMB primary number is still a best practice?

Using a call tracking number as the GMB primary number and the actual number in the additional number field is still a best practice?

I am not seeing any value in doing it. Google has gotten better at identifying and ranking businesses.

We still do it as a best practice but I agree with Jason that it probably doesn't make any difference these days. I am actually running a test to see if it has an impact and I will report back on this thread with what I find.

Hi @Colan Nielsen, I just wanted to check if there were any updates based on your test. I would be interested to see if having call tracking as your primary in your GMB has any benefits. Also, is this still a best practice that one should follow?

I haven't completed the test but I am fairly confident that not adding the businesses local number as an additional number in GBP would not be harmful. Ie. just having the tracking number would be fine.
