Hi Everyone,

I have an electrician client who got two 1-star reviews from two women, who are roommates, accusing them of doing illegal things, which they didn't do. I believe the legal accusation is against Google's guidelines and the assertion is false. So, we flagged the reviews. That was back on March 27. I went into the reviews management tool, and both reviews are still showing as "Decision pending".

Joy's video on this process indicates to wait at least 3 days for a decision. So, this is way past that.

Do I need to wait until a decision is made or should I appeal the reviews?

Thanks!
Kurt

Appeal the reviews and save the case id in case you need to post in the help forum. Based on the limited information, I doubt Google will take action and remove them.

Update...

I appealed the reviews yesterday and this morning Google responded indicating they removed the reviews. I checked the GBP and they are gone. Woohoo!

In case it helps anyone else. Because the reviewers had said the client did "illegal" work and threatened to prevent anyone else from using my client's services as well as threatening a law suit, I appealed based on harassment/defamation and misinformation.

Thanks!
Kurt
