Hi,

Need opinions on the following?

Business is registered at companies house as "example business Ltd"

A lot of citations are "example business Ltd"

GMB name is "example business" (No Ltd)

And there are also a lot of citations for "example business"

For purposes of marketing and PR they dont want to use "example business Ltd"

Should I change as many citations as possible to "example business" (lose the "Ltd")

or wont Google care about the presence or lack of "Ltd" ?

opinions ?

Thanks

Jeff

Re: GMB: Business name + "Ltd" versus just business name ? mixed citations

Google's pretty good at normalizing NAP information. If I was setting up new citations as part of a campaign, or correcting old citations that had other things wrong with them, or even updating the most important citations to include all pertinent info (say, you noticed you were getting a lead or two per month from Yelp and wanted to flesh out the listing) I would correct the business name to remove the Ltd. For citations already built that you have no other reason for touching though, I'd leave them be.

Thanks for the good advice, that is exactly what I will do.
