So we have a client who had an average of 4.1 on Google . They recently got a bunch of good reviews but the rating actually dropped to 3.9 and they are wondering why

I swear I heard recently that Google started filtering out reviews that were stars only with no content. What I am wondering is if maybe they got some bad reviews with low stars and no content, Google filtered them, but its still counting towards the overall score?

Other than that--I cant figure out why the overall score would go DOWN when they got more 4 and 5 star reviews over the past few months

THanks in advance!

Hey! Presumably, the matter may be in one of the latest core algorithm updates. If I'm not mistaken, this thread might be similar to your question, hope it helps: Google Removed Reviews
