Minor difference in business name NAP in citations. What would the impact be?

Is it important for the business name in the NAP to be consistent across citation sources or will Google know its the same business?

I have a client which has citations with a minor difference, ie. 'Company Name & Son' and 'Company Name And Son'

I'm wondering if I should fix them up or not.
