We have a BIG issue with a VERY SIMPLE search. Desktop is correct but mobile IS NOT. Both are Google Chrome searches but the mobile search reveals a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT company! We have just yesterday added the CORRECT location to our GBP account so the panel/etc will take some time to show but......WHAT ON EARTH...How can mobile reveal a page that IS NOT our client.

HELP!!!

We have sent "feedback" on "mobile" reiterating the issue. What else can be done? This is a BIG issue for the "other" result/company.

Usually when I see something like that it's because the two business have similar name, but one GBP name is longer (i.e. because it has a bunch of keywords added), so google assume that when you search the "normal" name that is actually used when talking about the business, you're looking for the one that more or less matches it perfectly: the short one.

In this case, the mobile vs. desktop sounds like the interfering profile could be showing up higher because of distance factor. that's usually the culprit with mobile vs. desktop.

It's impossible to do more than the vaguest speculation if you're completely unwilling to tell us what the profiles actually are though.

Do you mean organic search or the results in the map pack?

The browser you use shouldn't make any difference. But you could do some tests in incognito mode. It's possible you are seeing YOUR business ranking higher because of previous searches but the other business is the one that is really on top.

Really need know what you are searching for to see if we can replicate the issue
