"See what's on the menu" Google Maps notification

Hello everyone,

Las time, I got this notification from the Google Maps mobile app when I was heading to a restaurant.
Do you have more information about it? Does it only appear if I set the restaurant as my destination or can it also appear if I'm walking close to the location?
