I have a client who has counter seasonal businesses at the same physical location. Their bread and butter is snow ski rentals (Nov - April). Off season service is bicycle rentals (Jun- August).
The question is how to effectively promote the bicycle rentals in the summer. We absolutely cannot jeopardize the ski business. So, our usual local tactics may be risky.
- Changing up the location page to highlight bikes; Title, H1, bike text.
- Changing or adding GMB categories.
My *guess* is that Google is indexing more or less real time and would recognize the change in services without losing any authority.
Is there some why to time box each service to indicate "Ski Rentals Nov-Apr" and "Bike Rentals Jun-Aug"?
Backlinks relating to bike rentals would certainly help, and probably benefit both services.
Does anyone had experience with counter seasonal businesses?
(It's not a "seasonal" business because they don't close down in the off-season).
Thanks!
