Is Dun and Bradstreet important?

We do local citation work manually. DNB is a directory we used to claim and optimize but it seems impossible now. Even if we ask our clients to do this themselves since it asks personal information they're on the phone waiting for 20+ mins. We don't see much info online on how to go about this so are other agencies optimizing DNB?

@Hannah Brown, I skip it, and would recommend skipping it. Their data often is way off, when DnB even lists a business at all.

If the listing sticks out too prominently for brand-name searches for a client's business, in time you can probably get it pushed down by other listings, usually those with reviews.

We do not prioritize D&B whatsoever. Doesn't get much if any search traffic and their value of a citation there is weak.

Would put on a par with Local.com, Citysearch etc. Too generic and small to matter.
