Checked a new client's GBP and the section for Business Description is missing.

Also showing "Incomplete Profile", however, I did complete the profile, skipped the offer though for "Workplace" which shouldn't matter.

Profile didn't show cover pic missing, pic is already there but when I dive into it, it shows "Pending" for the one I did recently upload.

Believe, GBP is corrupted, so messaged Support, but have yet to hear back from them...

Hey Jason, I recently added a cover picture but I don't see that it updated into GBP after the pending expired. So just another issue altering us that the GBP is corrupted in some way. I emailed support with no reply. What would you do if it were your GBP? Thx.

Is the profile showing no cover image at all or just a different image? These are very different situations and Google is known to be touchy about what it will use as cover images:
  • Google decided they hate your photo for some obscure reason
We had #3 happen recently to an RV resort in St Petersburg. Despite our efforts to make this image the cover photo, Google kept selecting any other photo. Every time I deleted the photo they picked to show, a new one would take its place. Literally any photo other than the one I selected.
Google used to take a few days before it would display images on brand new GBPs, but I'm not sure if it still does that, as I haven't worked on such a GBP in a while.

GBP is messed up. Shows cover pic that was pending, which is now accepted, but doesn't show up as the Cover pic. Business description missing although they may be considered a hotel, they're an ecolodge btw, so they may not get that option. However, I've read some of their competition does have it. IG shows added in their profile but if I try to edit or add, IG is not an option. Added Logo successfully but it doesn't show up in their GBP. Wrote to support they never wrote back. I'll try again with Jason's link. Btw, I don't have access to change the pictures what were added. I see the pictures in the GBP but when I try to add/remove pictures they're not listed. Something is definitely not right with this profile.

I posted to Support. Thx

Here's what a Silver level GBP wrote back, however, she did not address the corruption within the GBP.

What about creating a duplicate profile and then having support merge them?

Welcome to the Google Business Profile Help Community! I have responded for each of your issues below, separated into sections for images, business description and social link.

For the images:

Please review this information regarding adding images to your Google Business Profile:

If your listing isn't open or hasn't been active for 2 weeks you may have issues uploading photos. Other things that could be causing your photos to be rejected/not uploaded. Check and see if any of these could be the issues
  • If your listing is less than 2 weeks old, you could be prevented from publishing images.
  • If your listing has been recently suspended and reinstated, you will have to wait 10-14 days before you can publish photos.
  • If your image is a duplicate or is copyrighted, it could reject your image.
  • Sometimes your image will 'say' it's rejected, but then if you wait 24-48 hours, it will be published.
  • If you have previously uploaded spammy images, Google could be more cautious and prevent you from uploading additional photos.
  • Note that removing GBP images is challenging, unless there is a very clear violation of Google's guidelines.

There could be quality issues:
  • All photos need to be high quality and not too blurry or too large
  • They also cannot have too much text or overlays. All images should have less than 10% of the image covered.
  • Ensure your image is less than 1500 pixels, in JPG or PNG formats, and smaller than 5MB.
You also need to make sure that your image passes their AI SafeSearch guidelines; you can test that by uploading your image here: https://cloud.google.com/vision/docs/drag-and-drop
