Will adding a "|" into my GMB name ding me?

Hi. I have a client whose current name (which consistently is written "Loft | Apartments" throughout their site) includes a | in it, will adding this into their GMB name get them dinged since it is a special character? Or will it be okay since that is on their site? What would you recommend?
