Hi,

I have came across a strange organic search scenario.
Though, I see it as an opportunity

Clients main keyword is "Personal Trainer Cleveland", Which is in qld australia.
The TOP results in organic are from "Cleveland Ohio".

Are there any extra step that can help us rank quickly in organic?
We are also implementing proper schema markup, what else we could do?

Thanks

If you're searching on Google it should come back correctly. I just tried it and got results from the Cleveland in Australia.

If you're searching on Google.com it will default to the USA.

It's important to make sure it's searching Google but also that the location of the searcher is coming from within Cleveland in Australia. If you don't do both you'll likely see US results.

I used View Google Search Results from any Location in any Country and set my country to Australia and the city to Cleveland QLD and it looked fine.

I would avoid the Ad Preview Tool for checking local rankings - it's super inaccurate for anything non-ads.

This is the search URL of the result I get with Bright Local's tool:
